Because each Made-to-Order pair is a unique commission, we focus on mapping your feet directly to our Spanish lasts as the essential first step. Once your profile is established, your perfect fit becomes a permanent record for all future commissions.
The Path to Your Custom Pair
Once your measurements are secured, we guide you through a curated selection process where you choose your silhouette, last, materials, colors, sole construction, and finishing options.
After you’ve narrowed down your preferences, I will personally send you professional stock photography or a digital 3D render of your specific configuration to ensure the vision is perfect before you fill out your final order form and submit payment.

The Process: Every pair of Chancellor’s Gait shoes is built to your specific profile, making this assessment our most critical step. Because these are unique commissions, all sales are final—but we stand behind our process: if the fit isn’t right, we'll remake your first pair.
The Result: This technical master blueprint resides in our archives—unlocking preferred member rates and seamless ordering for all future commissions.

What Happens Next?
The Inaugural Commission
Your first order includes a one-time investment to engineer your permanent Personal Fit Profile. This technical master blueprint is interpreted from your professional measurements to ensure a precision fit across our factory’s full range of lasts, half-sizes and widths. Once established, this profile resides in our archives—unlocking preferred member rates, free shipping and paid duties on all future commissions.
Customization
Once your profile is secured, we move to the Aesthetic and Build:
Silhouette: Whether you prefer the understated authority of a lace-up Oxford, the Ivy League aesthetic of a tassel Loafer, or the southern charm of a Wingtip Blucher, your build starts here.
Last: We select the last that best suits your unique foot shape and style preference.
Materials: Choose from traditional box calf leathers and fine suedes, warm flannels, soft tweeds, breathable linens, and even exotic leathers.
Colors and Patterns: Our vast selection ranges from traditional tanned burgundies and cognacs to unique hand-painted artisanal polychromes. Customize your laces, inner lining, soles and more...
Foundation: We help you determine which sole material and construction method best fits your lifestyle (Goodyear Welt, Blake Flex, or Premium rubber).
Finish: We apply hand-burnishing, high polish, toe plates, beveled waist, and even initials engraving upon your request.
Pricing is finalized at this stage based on your specific last, materials and construction choices. Your personal commission is launched into production.
