Chancellor’s Gait Terms & Conditions:

1. The Commission Process

Chancellor’s Gait provides semi-bespoke, handcrafted footwear. Every pair is a unique commission built to your specific profile.

Order Commencement: Work on your commission—including material sourcing and factory scheduling—begins only after your Fit Assessment is complete and your initial invoice has been paid in full.

Collaborative Fit: The fit assessment is the most critical step in our process. By commissioning a pair of shoes, you agree to participate in this professional mapping to ensure the accuracy of your Personal Fit Profile.

2. Payment & Fees

Fit Assessment Fee: A non-refundable fee of $150 is due at the time of your fitting appointment. This covers the professional mapping of your feet and the creation of your master technical blueprint.

Purchase Credit: This $150 fee is applied as a credit toward the purchase price of your first pair of shoes and will appear as a separate line item on your initial invoice.

Invoicing: All payments are processed via PayPal, allowing for secure payment via credit card or bank transfer.

All Sales Final: Because each pair is a unique commission, all sales are final. We do not offer standard returns or exchanges.

3. Lead Times & Dispatch

Standard Delivery: Curated styles are typically prepared for dispatch within one week. Custom builds based on your Master Profile carry a standard lead time of four to six weeks.

Holiday Schedules: Our factory observes several seasonal holidays throughout the year. Please account for these closures when commissioning shoes for time-sensitive events like weddings or galas.

4. The Remake Guarantee

We stand behind our professional fit assessment with a one-time guarantee for your first pair only.

Eligibility: This guarantee covers technical issues related to size and fit only. It cannot be used to change style, leather, or color.

The Fitting Session: Acceptance or rejection must occur during the supervised delivery and try-on session.

Rejection & Surrender: If our specialist determines the fit is technically incorrect, we will initiate a one-time remake. The original shoes remain the property of Chancellor’s Gait and must be surrendered to the specialist at that time.

Self-Measured Exception: Orders based on self-measured data are ineligible for a remake, as the data cannot be professionally verified.

5. Shipping, Duties & Taxes

We provide a transparent, "Total Price" experience.

Complimentary Shipping: We offer free global shipping on all commissions.

Duties & Taxes: Chancellor’s Gait pays all import duties and local taxes. The amount on your invoice is the final price you pay—not a penny more.

6. Intellectual Property & Data

Proprietary Data: Your Personal Fit Profile and the resulting master blueprints are the technical property of Chancellor’s Gait and reside in our archives for your future use.

Site Usage: All photography, brand voice, and design assets on this site are protected. Personal information submitted via our contact forms is handled according to our Privacy Policy.
